The Wall Remembers

Can Vandalism Earn a Place in a Museum?

Julien Moreau is an avant-garde screen print artist who transforms neglected walls, anonymous graffiti, and damaged urban surfaces into stark monochrome compositions. Critics dismiss his work as little more than copied vandalism, while his supporters see him as an archivist of voices that cities continually erase.

In The Wall Remembers, fragments of handwriting, stains, and architecture merge into a ghostly blue-grey surface. Words become almost unreadable, leaving only traces of the people who wrote them. Moreau presents the wall as a public memory: damaged, overwritten, and never entirely silent.
